This site is hosted by ethnē using the Ghost CMS to allow subscribing via email (or RSS).
image policy
Most of the images on this site (unless they are screenshots or directly related to ethnē or another custom app) are taken from Unsplash. We value real images made by real people and we will always strive to include a link back to the source (even if not required).
As we post about languages added to ethnē and other culturally related things, we strive to use images:
- taken by someone from the country that
- highlights a similar cultural context
- in a way that honors it
We won't use intentionally use images that
- dishonor the culture or
- highlight flags or military or
- intentional portray sensitive cultural ceremonies that we might not fully understand.
Some images may be used across posts as well.
