offline first
Relationships shape our capacity to making disciples who make disciples. ethnē creates technology to be fully utilized and shared, completely offline, in relationship with others.
oral and visual learners first
We design for those who learn best using methods other than reading. Our tools are made for people who
- speak half the world’s languages that do not use writing
- learn through non-written methods even if their language is written
- use sign languages which are visually communicated and not written
the last shall be first
Our heart is for people in communities with the lowest skill level, least internet access and least amount of opportunities in this world.
We believe the Great Commission will be fulfilled by people who live in the Last Mile --not simply a few talented and charismatic leaders, but those who will influence their neighbors and friends by sharing the word of God.
Kingdom first
Christ is King. This reality shapes our core identity as members of his body, citizens of Heaven, and ministers of reconciliation on earth.
Our identity as members of the Body of Christ transcends affiliation to organization, denomination or location.
We collaborate whole-heartedly. We endeavor to create impactful Kingdom partnerships wherever beneficial for advancing our shared vision to see the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

privacy first
Each year it's easier and cheaper for companies and countries to monitor internet use in order to maintain control or prevent the advance of the gospel.
We collect as little data as possible while creating technology that is easy to use on devices people already have.
security first
In a world where data leaks and hacking happens with increasing frequency, we work with the assumption that we're not invincible. We mitigate threats by involving cyber security professionals and designing resilient technology.
made to multiply
The Kingdom of God grows by multiplication. We create solutions for multiplication that don’t favor one method over another. We partner with those invested in a specific people groups (ethnē) - those who are praying, believing and working as disciples who make disciples and as churches that grow churches.
